Dear Family
Childcare is the most important thing to us. We give all our children the best possible care and love that they deserve.
Approach and Philosophy
In Ashvale Crèche we are very conscious of our beautiful environment. We strive at all times to get the children out into the fresh air and promote outdoor play and activities. We have different outdoor areas to facilitate different activities.
Facilities and Amenities
Ashvale Crèche is a spacious, bright building equipped with a vast array of equipment to facilitate learning and playing. We have a variety of outdoor play area equipped for various age groups and needs. The children spend a lot of time in the outdoor environment – playing, gardening, planting bulbs and much more. We have 2 large grassy gardens that are used mainly by the older children; these areas are used for digging, cycling trikes, climbing and balance beams, a trampoline, and much more. We have an astro turf garden for the babies and smaller children; with a playhouse, crawling frames and small slides. We also have a large tarmacadam area for bikes, pretend play and outdoor meals.
Staff and Qualifications
The staff at Ashvale Crèche come from family- and child-focused backgrounds eg. have worked as nurses, midwives.
Safety and Security Measures
The children enjoy exploring the grounds around the crèche and are always supervised when outside.
Nutrition and Meal Plans
In Ashvale Crèche we understand the importance of highly nutritious, good-quality meals. This is important for health and development, as well as for stimulating taste buds and developing social skills involving eating and sharing. Breakfast is provided each morning, followed at 10 am by a fresh fruit snack. Dinner is provided at midday. Early afternoon snack is provided at 1.30 pm. Tea is provided each evening, which may be scones, beans on toast, soup or sandwiches. An outside catering company - Little Dinners – provides the hot food. Little Dinners is dedicated to providing the highest quality foods, which are especially prepared for children. All food is free of extra salt, artificial additives and colourings. We chose this method of providing food as the company has an excellent reputation in quality and hygiene. It allows us to provide a varied menu and suit special dietary requirements. A weekly menu is displayed on the notice board in the front hall. We encourage healthy eating at all times and provide a cheerful, relaxed atmosphere at meal times.
Parent Communication and Updates
Our friendly, experienced staff will keep regular contact with parents to update you on your child's interpersonal skills and learning.
Inclusion and Diversity
We prioritise the involvement of all children, and will enforce an anti-bullying policy where needed.
